PeaceHealth is seeking a talented Chief Operating Officer to lead outstanding patient-focused care through operational effectiveness, financial performance and accountability. In this position, you will use lean concepts to plan, organize and enhance internal operations to effectively support community short and long-term strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will be a personable leader who can direct and motivate caregivers to achieve standards of excellence while maintaining PeaceHealth’s mission of providing exceptional and compassionate care. As an executive, the Chief Operational Officer will use their extensive management and healthcare knowledge to accelerate PeaceHealth’s clinical quality and operational excellence to achieve best practice patient, caregiver and provider objectives. This position is key to PeaceHealth's future, and the incumbent must be a thought leader who can foster development and conformance of strategic initiatives associated with medical center and medical group practices.

 

Qualifications for the Chief Operational Officer include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required
  • Minimum of ten years’ management experience in healthcare leadership role  
  • Board Certification in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) or Masters level degree in Business or Health Administration preferred
  • Proven ability conceptualizing and implementing financial sustainability initiatives  
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, federal law and state law
  • Strong ability to:
    • Deliver financial results for areas of accountability
    • Foster relationships within network leadership teams
    • Conceptualize issues and develop programmatic solutions
