Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician

PeaceHealth is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

This role provides individual and group psychotherapeutic evaluation and treatment services to individuals, couples and families experiencing a variety of life stressors and psychiatric illness.   In this position, you will be a member of an outpatient interdisciplinary clinical team, with encouraged interface with medical services and other levels of behavioral health care within the PeaceHealth system of care.  Staff clinicians have excellent administrative support services that handle scheduling, billing and facilitate insurance panel credentialing.  Staff clinicians are provided regular clinical consultation, supervision and opportunities for supported continuing education training.

Qualifications for the Independently Licensed BH Clinician Allied Health Professional (AHP) include:

  • Masters’ in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • License in Counseling, Marriage and Family or related field
  • Minimum one years’ experience with outpatient adult behavioral health clinical patients
  • Proven capabilities diagnosing and treating patients with complex mental health conditions
  • Experience with crisis intervention and ability to effectively handle afterhours telephonic crisis call coverage
  • Proficient with DSM-5 diagnoses and best practice treatment interventions
  • Comfort and Proficiency with office computer applications use and familiarity with using an electronic medical record system for case documentation is expected
  • Understanding and experience in treating individuals with notable trauma history, complex comorbid medical conditions, and substance use disorder are desired abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience providing clinical supervision to bachelors’ and masters’ level clinicians also a plus
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at date of hire

Other skills and requirements:

  • Ability to work in a clinic, community, and home settings.
  • Strong consumer engagement skills across continuum.
  • Strong case management and consumer advocacy skills.
  • QMHP required.
  • CADC preferred.
  • Ability to supervise CSWA’s towards licensure preferred.
  • Valid Oregon Driver’s license required.
  • Bilingual skills desired.


Physical and cognitive requirements:

  • Work requires normal amounts of physical effort at least 66% of the time. 
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less. 
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation. 
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
