Executive Recruiter

PeaceHealth is seeking a Executive Recruiter for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

Coordinates executive recruitment services and provides consultative support to executive and top-level positions. Develops, monitors, and provides reporting of full-cycle recruitment of system, senior and executive level candidates and search assignments. Develops and implements sourcing strategies for attracting executive and top-level talent.  Recruits leaders to join PeaceHealth in fulfillment of the mission, vision, and values.  Builds relationships with internal and external prospects/candidates, and search firms. Ensures an effective and quality pipeline of executives is available and well developed to sustain and build the ministry. Works with executive hiring leaders to determine whether an internal and/or external search will be conducted.  Coordinates executive search time-to-fill and retention metrics. Coordinates system executive recruitment oversight and triaged searches. Coordinates list of executive search trained backup recruiters.  Trains backup executive recruiters. Coordinates executive search experience and communication/reporting of progress. Coordinates system executive search processes and ensures adherence to PeaceHealth executive recruitment process.



  1. Leads executive hiring business strategies through collaboration with executive and top level leadership in the development, coordination and delivery of executive talent by understanding the strategic needs of the organization, and the competencies required for success.
  2. Identifies appropriate searches for executive scope and manages distribution of searches to aligned recruiters. Maintains scope adherence within the executive search function. Reports progress of scope and search maintenance to executive leadership.
  3. Sources and recruits utilizing various sourcing tools and techniques to identify active and passive job candidates for executive level positions and those positions that report directly to top those executives.  Uses knowledge of market and industry trends, labor market data and competitors to develop sourcing plans and strategies.
  4. Identifies, develops and maintains relationships with key networked search firms as potential source of executives throughout the nation as prospective executives for PeaceHealth. Acts as the main repository for ethical, competitive candidate intelligence and prospects.
  5. Ensures search firm adherence to standardized processes, functions, and reporting of updates on candidate flow and marketing efforts.
  6. Works closely with executive leadership, HR leadership, internal, and external partners to ensure candidates are fully qualified and prepared for the screening and initial interview process. Screens candidates for cultural fit, skill set, availability, interest level, compensation and relocation needs.
  7. Serves as an advisor to executive and top-level leadership to develop and facilitate internal and external relationships with key functional experts and leaders to build, accelerate, and sustain leadership capability and plan for business outcomes.
  8. Works with executive leadership to develop and maintain a network of quality contacts and referrals. Builds candidate pipelines to fill current and anticipated vacancies.
  9. Tracks, manages, and reports out on executive search time-to-fill, retention, and related metrics.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational development, human resources, or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Master’s Degree is preferred.


  • Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience in the areas of executive search, recruitment, or equivalent.
  • Extensive network of contacts and well-established executive relationships with retained and contingent firms.


  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.

OTHER SKILLS:          

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); SuccessFactors preferred.
  • Experience using various sourcing techniques using the Internet, advertising, networking and community resources
  • Knowledge of full lifecycle recruitment process including knowledge of “Hire for Fit” interview and selection process
  • Comprehensive knowledge of laws, acts and regulations associated with employment laws and their application to recruitment processes and transactions
  • Basic knowledge of labor unions, and human resource functional areas
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications In-depth level of understanding of service level agreements
  • Ability to deliver high levels of customer service when dealing with positions that require multiple months to fill.


  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.     
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.      
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.          
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
