Grant Reporting & Research Specialist

PeaceHealth is seeking a Grant Reporting & Research Specialist for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs activities related to grant seeking, grant administration, and coordinating grant management activities on a systemwide basis for PeaceHealth. Grant seeking and grant administration activities include the following: researching and identifying foundation and corporate funding opportunities for local, network and systemwide initiatives; providing assistance in determining eligibility; helping to prepare and gather all materials for submission; developing and implementing administrative procedures and controls for submission and reporting.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Conducts foundation and corporate prospect research, including the Federal Registry, grant-oriented publications and directories, and the utilization of the Internet and the World Wide Web.
  2. Conducts prospect research for the portfolio with local, network and system-wide institutional priorities in the forefront.
  3. Identifies foundations and major corporations for six and seven figure dollar solicitations.
  4. Establishes relationships with funders and manages a portfolio of grant prospects to ensure achievement of assigned goals.
  5. Assists in preparing written proposals, grant applications, informational materials, and other materials needed to secure grants.
  6. Assists in monitoring all grants for program and fiscal compliance.
  7. Develops and maintains prospect files, operating procedure manuals and history files for all foundation and corporation activities, updating annually.
  8. Writes and submits all reports required by the funder.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration, or a related field; or a combination of education, training and experience that provides the caregiver with the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.


License/Certification:

  • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) certification preferred.


Experience/Training:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in research, finance, or public administration.


Other Skills:

  • Strong computer skills in prospect databases, e-marketing programs and internet research tools.
  • Ability to work effectively and persuasively with a variety of influential internal and external constituencies.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent grant writing, grammar and editing skills. 
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to determine effective fundraising strategies.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment

 

SHARED SERVICES PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
