MD System Service Line Director Women's Health (Part-Time)

PeaceHealth is seeking a MD System Service Line Director Women's Health (Part-Time) for a 0.5 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of Variable.

Responsible for providing clinical leadership for Women’s Health services across the system and for planning, developing and directing patient care programs in alignment with triple aim objectives.



  1. Provides leadership for clinical excellence and care model redesign in Women’s health services for PeaceHealth.  Supports other Women’s Health clinical leaders in the three networks to oversee and influence all hospital departments and clinics associated with Women’s Health service delivery to achieve desired performance outcomes.
  2. Creates and monitors quality reporting structure for Women’s Health services; recommends changes to quality reporting infrastructure, systems, processes and standards to achieve desired triple aim outcomes in collaboration with System Quality Department, network medical directors, managers, nurses, directors, department chairs and medical staff.  Ensures peer review process is active and high functioning in each network.
  3. Works with clinical Women’s Health leaders to plan, develop, implement and evaluate new patient care programs and practice models including identification of clinical objectives, capital and other resource requirements, expected operating revenues and expenses, allocation of space and organization of program personnel and other operation components.
  4. Supports network-based Women’s Health service line directors in delivering operational and/or business plans that promote care optimization and efficiency.  Works with System Services (PHMG, Quality, AST) to develop and implement tracking systems that demonstrate efficiency.
  5. In collaboration with System Women’s Health Steering Committee and Women’s Health Operations Council members; develops strategic and long-term transformation plans for the effective transition to new care models and expanded geographic networks that better meet the needs of patients and communities.
  6. In collaboration with System Women’s Health Steering Committee and Women’s Health Operations Council members; directs recruitment and evaluation of Women’s Health clinical personnel.
  7. Leads continuous improvement efforts that promote clinical excellence, patient safety, patient and provider experience.  Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, system leaders, department managers, staff and customers that lead to measurable improvement in patient care outcomes, efficiency, customer service, and provider and staff engagement.
  8. Works to achieve or exceeding national benchmarks in quality and patient safety for Women’s Health programs.
  9. Ensures regulatory compliance for providers in areas of responsibility.
  10. Monitors, communicates, and works to improve patient, physician and staff satisfaction.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.




  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine.



  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience practicing medicine in Women’s health.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in physician management.



  • Licensure as a physician in the state of practice.
  • Federal DEA number.
  • Medical staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at a PeaceHealth medical center/clinic.



  • Excellent verbal, negotiation, and written communication skills, particularly with key stakeholder groups such as physicians, other clinicians, and quality improvement staff.
  • Strong customer service focus.



  • Work requires normal exertion from 34 to 65% of the time.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.          
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.     
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
