Manager, Supply Chain Process & Data Systems

PeaceHealth is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Process & Data Systems for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supervising and managing the day-to-day activities of Supply Chain projects and processes.  Ensures the continuity of information services for PH Supply Chain through planning, technical leadership and project management.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Manages daily function of assigned area, ensure continuity of services, and prepares long and short-range goals for team, systems development and acquisition of resources to meet objectives as defined by Supply Chain and PeaceHealth Leadership.  Ensures quality of services provided, develops and implements policies and procedures for assigned area (s).
  2. Supervises assigned team; including hiring, assignment of work, performance management, professional development planning, scheduling, attending to caregiver relations, coaches, mentors, monitors quality of work, timelines and ensures educational requirements are met. Responsible for analyzing resource requirements of the department and developing recommendations for staffing levels with supporting justification documentation.  Responsible for assisting with the department budget, tracking expenditures, etc. with budget authority as delegated for assigned areas.
  3. Establishes and maintains relationships with caregivers, leadership, vendors and contractors.
  4. Attends project oversight meetings for work being managed by direct reports and function as the escalation point for assigned projects.
  5. Facilitates and coordinates assigned staff in all aspects of the planning, design and implementation of a variety of assigned Supply Chain projects. Acts as the lead contact for internal and external customers on projects and day to day activities.  Provides leadership and direction for caregivers, teammates and PeaceHealth caregivers responsible for the project. Participates in the development of project scope and objectives. 
  6. Recommends and takes action in order to manage project risks and develop effective solutions to ensure the successful completion and implementation of projects and assignments.
  7. Participates with Supply Chain and other leadership teams as requested.
  8. Manages data management activities and performance, including the data management team.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:         

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science; or related field.  Equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience. 

 

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum of three or more years supervisory or project lead experience, including responsibility for decision-making, resolving technical and administrative issues, staff and resource management.
  • Knowledge of current applications and trends in information technology as related to hospital Supply Chain Management is required.
  • Experience with Lawson Materials Management information system preferred.
  • Experience with the use of Change Management tools is preferred.
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency with the use of Word and Excel is required; MS FrontPage, SharePoint, Access, and PowerPoint are preferred.

SYSTEM SERVICES PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.    
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.          
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
