PeaceHealth is seeking a Manager Server & Storage for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

Responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Windows and Unix Server, Data Storage and Video Conferencing infrastructure, providing communications and/or data such as reports, etc. to internal and external stakeholders/customers, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, ensures goals are met, provides status updates, results and conduct analysis as necessary. Ensures the continuity of information technology services throughout the organization through planning, technical leadership and project coordination. Manages the acquisition, installation, configuration, coordination, monitoring and on-going maintenance of Windows and Unix Server, Data Storage and Video Conferencing infrastructure.



  1. Manages daily functions of assigned areas, ensures continuity of services, and prepares long and short-range goals for Windows and Unix Server, Data Storage and Video Conferencing infrastructure and acquisition of resources to meet corporate objectives.  Ensures quality of services provided, develops and implements policies and procedures for assigned areas. Prioritizes department work based on operational planning and organizational needs.
  2. Provides management and supervision to assigned caregivers. Hires, trains, mentors, and provides performance management or corrective actions to caregivers.  Maintenance of work schedules, authorizes time off requests, and performance evaluations.  Analyzes resource requirements of the department, and develops recommendations for staffing levels with supporting justification documentation. 
  3. Identifies development, enhancement, and maintenance priorities for all areas of responsibility. 
  4. Manages requirements for support and participation of assigned caregivers on organizational projects and initiatives
  5. Participates in disaster recovery planning, development and implementation.
  6. Manages the Windows and Unix Server, Data Storage and Video Conferencing infrastructure budget, tracking expenditures, purchase of office supplies, etc. with budget authority as delegated for assigned areas.
  7. Acts as primary liaison to vendors and suppliers used by PeaceHealth to support Windows and Unix Server, Data Storage and Video Conferencing infrastructure.  Responsible for recommending cost effective hardware and software solutions including business justifications for
  8. Manages the installation, maintenance and monitoring of security technology required to control   access to Windows and Unix Server, Data Storage and Video Conferencing infrastructure.
  9. Provides strategic and tactical planning to support short and long range requirements for areas of responsibility to support organizational needs and objectives.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.





EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Information Technology or relevant field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.



  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
  • Minimum of two years of leadership, supervisory or administrative project leadership experience is required, preferably including health information experience.



  • Knowledge of current applications and trends in information technology as related to healthcare.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment in analyzing, appraising, evaluating and solving problems of a difficult procedural, organizational, administrative or technical nature.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and guide lean process improvement to assure efficiency.
  • Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability.




  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 655 of the time
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30lbs or less
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time)
