Marketing Specialist- Foundation

PeaceHealth is seeking a Marketing Specialist- Foundation for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the development and management of integrated marketing strategies that are supportive of overarching system and network business objectives; utilizes market information to develop plans and guidelines for marketing initiatives; serve as the front line system marketing strategist for information, advice and leadership on marketing issues.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Develop strategic marketing plans, service level agreements (SLAs) and reporting processes to advance/measure business goals and objectives; Collaborate with Network leadership to implement plans.
  2. Establish measurable goals within all marketing plan efforts and tracks the results of marketing efforts in coordination with other system functions (PHMG, Web Strategy, etc.)
  3. Lead the development and implementation effort for advertising, direct mail, collateral materials and other marketing efforts and helps ensure that efforts are consistent with technical and professional standards.
  4. Manage the brand image of PeaceHealth; assess the impact of competitive activities and market forces on the market position of PeaceHealth within stated client accountability (i.e. Networks, Communities, Operating Units)
  5. Develop service line marketing budgets to ensure that marketing initiatives are fall within the parameters of the approved budget.
  6. Direct Network communications teams with appropriate methods for implementing marketing efforts including community education classes, sponsorship involvement, etc.
  7. Develop original content in collaboration with community marketing teams, and where warranted, clinical and service line leaders; proof and edit materials submitted by embedded clients within the networks for consistency in voice and tone
  8. Direct graphic design, production, communications and other functional areas to develop design/content comps and storyboards for consideration; serve as a marketing consultant to aid and support the network communications teams.
  9. Develop creative briefs and statements of work related to campaign development, creative concepts and other graphic project planning efforts.
  10. Manage advertising agency relationships and projects and other external vendors to ensure marketing execution supports the brand, is consistent with the intended strategy and ROI is measured appropriately and accurately.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:         

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience is required. 
  • Master’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum of five years of marketing experience is required; marketing experience in a health care environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience managing marketing technical professionals is preferred.
  • Experience with Foundation and/or Philanthropy programs preferred.

 

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Solid understanding of marketing applications in a health care provider setting
  • Proficient with computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient writing skills to communicate to internal and external customers and assist with copy writing as needed
  • Knowledge of the health care delivery system; hospital and community y-based
  • Proven ability to synthesize multi-source data into actionable information
  • Excellent communication skills including writing and presenting using computer based applications
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in an effective manner
  • Ability to deal with complex organizational environments; high tolerance for ambiguity and change
  • High level of project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish credibility and forge lasting relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to garner support and engagement within the across stakeholder groups, both internal and external

 

SHARED SERVICES PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.    
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.          
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
