Project Coordinator

PeaceHealth is seeking a Project Coordinator for a 1.0 full time equivalent Non-Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for overall day to day coordination and support of projects as assigned. Creates and use tools and resources to support projects, in addition to pulling on appropriate project management methodology tools and knowledge.  This role requires advanced skills in coordinating multiple tasks and timelines, facilitation and organizational collaboration skills.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.    Facilitates and coordinates activities associated with projects in collaboration with other project members. 

2.    Tracks project activities to ensure coordination and sequencing and to make sure issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.  Acts as the lead contact for internal and external customers on project.  

3.    Prepares meeting materials and coordinate meeting content to distribute meeting agenda and materials in a timely manner.  

4.    May provide staff support to the project team and serve as a member of the  project.

5.    In collaboration with the internal and external consultants, develops appropriate and useful tools and resources for the project team to conduct their activities and track project progress.  

6.     May support and/or facilitate some meetings with key leaders, sponsors and process owners. 

7.     Uses project management and change management tools to address and support needs of various stakeholder groups.    
8.     Provides project oversight as needed, such as the creation of dashboards.
9.    Performs other duties as assigned. 


QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or healthcare related field or combination of education and experience that provides the caregiver with the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the Essential Functions of this job.


EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:    

•    Minimum of three years project coordination experience required. 
•    Healthcare industry experience preferred.
•    Significant experience using technical applications preferred.
•    Experience managing multiple, parallel, high visibility projects.
    
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:    

•    Proficiency with, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; prefer experience with Visio and MS Project.
•    Experience with PhotoShop, Access and Visio desirable.
